Akan culture represents one of Africa’s most ancient traditions of Queens and Kings. Akan societies share common ancestry, cultural experiences, spiritual pantheons and belief in the supremacy and omniscience of GOD. Shrine houses, called Abosomfie, or divinities’ house, is where members gather to observe the traditional rites and ancient customs of Africa which increases the attainment of self-sufficiency, interdependence, respect for others, the Earth, the Sky and the Abosom who provide insight, protection, inspiration and empowerment.
