Kwabena Akyeampon is senior Obrafo, a founding member of the Asona Aberade Shrine and caretaker of the first Adade Kofi Shrine established in PA by Nana Okomfohene Oparebea. He is also an award winning photographer with the Philadelphia Tribune newspaper, the nation’s oldest continuously published African American newspaper in the country. As founder/director of Eleto Egbe Omode Children Performing Ensemble, he dedicates his life to helping others reconnect with their African heritage and cultural roots.
